Acting legend Clint Eastwood officially retires from Hollywood

Clint Eastwood, the four-time Oscar-winning actor and director, has officially retired from Hollywood after a career spanning seven decades and over 70 films. His retirement was confirmed by his son, musician and composer Kyle Eastwood, who stated in November that his father is 95 years old. Eastwood's last on-screen performance was in the 2021 film Cry Macho, and his final directorial effort was the 2024 legal thriller Juror No 2. Known for his versatile work across genres, Eastwood was praised by colleagues for his efficient and quiet directorial approach, often completing projects ahead of schedule. He directed five actors to Oscar wins and earned high regard from co-stars including Meryl Streep, Laura Linney, and Morgan Freeman.
