BW Renewables announces sale of BW Water

The transaction is expected to close on 1 July 2026, pending regulatory approvals and satisfaction of customary closing conditions. Founded in 2019, BW Water has grown from a start-up into a leading global provider of full-service water and wastewater solutions across nine countries across Asia, Europe and the Americas. “BW Water has attracted strong market interest with its accelerated growth driven by clear strategic focus and disciplined execution. This transaction is a pivotal step in BW Water’s next phase of growth – positioning the business and its people for sustainable long-term success. Following completion, the entirety of BW Water’s business including its existing operations – comprising an engineering hub in the Philippines and two manufacturing centers in Germany and Malaysia – will be acquired by De Nora, providing continuity for the teams, customers and project partners. BW Group will continue to be involved in the water space through BW Elara, a joint venture between BW Group and BW Offshore focused on developing floating desalination solutions leveraging BW Water’s desalination expertise.
