China's foreign trade in yuan-denominated terms grew by 14.2 per cent year on year (YoY) in April this year to 4.38 trillion yuan ($639.4 billion), according to data from the General Administration of Customs. Exports rose by 9.8 per cent YoY to 2.48 trillion yuan, while imports went up 20.6 per cent to 1.9 trillion yuan, the data showed. In the first four months this year, total foreign trade reached 16.23 trillion yuan—up by 14.9 per cent YoY.
