23.04.2026 Come into Kylie’s world. In the best news we’ve heard all week, Netflix has officially announced a new docuseries featuring none other than Kylie Minogue . Having first got her start as Charlene in Neighbours (and let’s not forget to mention her cameo in Kath and Kim as Epponnee-Rae), Kylie’s five-decade music career is nothing short of legendary. From iconic fashion moments, like her ‘Spinning Around’ gold hot pants and ‘Can’t Get You Out of My Head’ white jumpsuit moment, to her more recent Brit Awards performance, her career is full of iconic, culture-defining moments. With over 80 million records under her belt and five years in the industry, we have no doubt she’ll have quite a few stories to share. A three-part series, it comes from the same director and producer of the ‘Beckham’ docuseries. Discover more artists and music we love at FJ’s Music section. This news also comes after the announcement earlier this year that Kylie will return home to headline the 2026 AFL Grand Final in Melbourne in September. Following recent acts including Snoop Dogg, Katy Perry and Kiss, Kylie will be the first Australian artist to take to the main stage at the MCG since 2021. And only recently did Chanel release its 25 handbag campaign starring Margot Robbie that remade Kylie’s ‘Come Into My World’ music video. It’s officially shaping up to be the year of Kylie and we couldn’t be more excited. While it’s still early days, we’ve gathered everything there is to know about the upcoming Netflix documentary for you below. What to expect in the Kylie Minogue documentary series The intimate three-part documentary will dive into Kylie’s personal archives, featuring footage from home movies and personal photographs alongside new interviews with Nick Cave, Dannii Minogue, Pete Waterman and of course, the woman herself. It will trace the superstar’s impressive five-decade career, while exploring how, despite public scrutiny and illness, she has cemented herself as one of pop’s most enduring and respected icons. Who is the team behind the Kylie Minogue docuseries? Pop-culture enthusiasts will be excited to know that ‘Kylie’ will be helmed by none other than the team behind the ‘Beckham’ documentary. Emmy and BAFTA Award winner Michael Harte has signed on to direct the docuseries, with John Battsek’s Ventureland fronting production. When does the Kylie Minogue docuseries come out? At this stage, Netflix has kept the official production date under wraps. We’ll be sure to keep you in the loop as soon as this changes, but for now, our hope is that she’ll time it around her AFL Grand Final show in September.
