Sir, – The under-declaration of his salary from RTÉ cost Ryan Tubridy his job and the ensuing self-imposed mess saw the departure of the director general, the resignation of the RTÉ chairwoman along with the early retirements of a number of executives. Irish Rail has just had to write off €50 million of taxpayers’ money due to a failed IT project. We are expecting no repercussions for those involved and are told we have to be content with “learnings”. What’s sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Heads should roll. – Yours, etc, WILLIE O’REILLY, Milltown, Dublin 6
