Michael Jackson was one of several artists that McClain helped to develop and shape. He oversaw Janet Jackson’s breakthrough album, “Control,” and worked alongside artists Ice Cube and Dr. Dre. He also famously encouraged the signing of Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch during his time at the label.
