Lewis Hamilton shares emotional message after girlfriend Kim Kardashian's grandma dies

Lewis Hamilton has given his followers an inside look into his recent holiday with girlfriend Kim Kardashian, and he urged fans to "hold your people close". The 41-year-old Formula 1 driver's emotional message comes after Kim's grandmother Mary Jo "MJ" Shannon - the mother of Kim's mum Kris Jenner - passed away aged 91. Following the tragic news, Lewis took to Instagram to share several snaps with Kim and her family on their lakeside getaway, and he wrote: "hold your people close [people hugging emoji]" Among the pictures of the couple's Idaho vacation was one of Lewis and Kim holding hands and looking lovingly into each other's eyes. In the next slide, the F1 star shared a video of moments after their romantic pose, where the pair are laughing hysterically while affectionately grabbing onto one another, and they eventually fall into a lake. Lewis posted a picture of him and Kim, 45, taking a relaxing nature walk through the countryside, in which he has his arm draped over the Keeping Up With the Kardashians star. The Ferrari racing driver also shared a snap of himself with Kim and two of her children, Chicago West, eight, and Psalm West, seven, who she has with ex-husband Kanye West, as well as North West, 13, and Saint West, 10. Kim took to the comments to share a heart emoji on Lewis' post. Around the same time, she shared a heartfelt tribute to her late grandmother MJ. Kim wrote: "My sweet Grandma MJ, my best friend, my gossip buddy, my forever twin... You taught all of us the importance of family, and those values are something we'll carry with us forever!!!!! You were the woman who showed me what it meant to be a hardworking businesswoman. You gave me my very first job at your store in San Diego and taught me lessons about work ethic, strength, and confidence that I've carried with me ever since. You always believed in me, championed me, and were my safe place. You truly were the matriarch of our family, and your love is woven into all of us. I know you're at peace now. Give Papa Harry, Aunt Karen, and my dad a hug for me. You will always be a part of me, I love you soooooo much and I will miss you forever and ever. YOU ARE THE BEST OF US!!!
