Revenant: ‘a visible ghost or animated corpse that returns from the dead to haunt the living, often driven by vengeance’. For six years, Loathe have remained in the shadows after their 2020 album, *I Let It In And It Took Everything*, which redefined modern metalcore and was widely regarded as one of the most influential albums in the genre. Despite other musical pursuits, Loathe have long avoided releasing another album. Rumors began circulating as early as 2024, with band members hinting at a new project during a Good Things Festival interview. Now, in 2026, the band has finally announced their eagerly awaited new album, *A Stranger To You*. This 14-track release aims to break away from the typical album churn-out cycle, intended to be listened to from start to finish without interruptions. The interconnected track sequence promises a fully narrative-driven experience, immersing listeners in atmospheric soundscapes. The announcement includes a new single, ‘Revanant’, featuring collaborations with ambient artists NOWHERE2RUN and Code Orange. The track is described as a ferocious dive into Loathe’s most intense sound, accompanied by a striking music video. The single, released as part of the album’s promotion, showcases the band’s unapologetic confidence and disregard for expectations. *A Stranger To You* is set to release on July 17, 2026. Pre-orders are available, and the band’s upcoming Australian tour, starting May 9, 2026, includes sold-out shows in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney, Newcastle, and Brisbane. Fans are encouraged to secure tickets early, as most venues are fully booked.
