Maynilad continues to optimize operations across its water treatment facilities to ensure reliable water service and strengthen system resilience during the dry season. The company is ramping up system optimization and supply augmentation measures, including pressure management strategies across its distribution network, resetting over 1,300 pressure regulating valves, and active monitoring of reservoir levels. Maynilad is maximizing the output of its existing treatment facilities, expanding alternative water sources like modular treatment plants and NEW WATER facilities, and optimizing its south system plants to augment production. Key infrastructure projects include the construction of a 200-million-liter raw water reservoir at La Mesa Compound and a 40-ML treated water reservoir in Valenzuela. Additionally, Maynilad is strengthening groundwater resources through the activation and rehabilitation of 16 operational deep wells, with more under reactivation. The company is also expanding its Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reduction program to recover lost water and improve system efficiency. These initiatives aim to significantly increase available supply for customers, especially during periods of high demand. Maynilad President and CEO Ramoncito S. Fernandez emphasized the priority of ensuring reliable water service, combining operational improvements and infrastructure investments to strengthen system resilience. Customers are encouraged to practice responsible water use during the dry season.
