Renowned YouTuber Diana Marua has admitted the challenges that she and her husband, Kevin Bahati, are facing as they build their house. Diana Marua shared the ups and downs of building their house. Source: Facebook Bahati had, in 2025, turned to social media for advice after his wife, Diana, demanded they move out of their current home because she found it small, old, and boring. Bahati explained that their growing family of five children had outgrown the space, and Diana believed they should not stay in one house for more than two years. He asked netizens to help him choose between building or buying a new mansion, drawing mixed reactions from followers who felt the decision should remain private. In Diana's new video, she confirmed that they were building a house and shared the struggles that came with construction. "If there is something that has humbled me for the past eight months is construction. You work, and the fundis want money. You work, and they need to add cement somewhere. You work, and they need bricks. You work, and they tell you it's plumbing. They need timber for I do not know which floor. Construction has humbled us. But you know what, I know it is going to be worth it. Let me not lie to you. I will not sit here and tell you that I have money. I have nothing. I am struggling. I am struggling to look for money. Construction is not easy, but a day at a time. I know one day it is going to be worth it," she said. Diana also lamented how she still has to rush home from the site to help the kids with homework, which sometimes requires them to go to the market to get school supplies. Here are some of the comments from social media users: @You said: "Building is so hard, wueh." @Apiyo said: "I am going through the same, but utakuwa poa." @Mukoya said: "Building made me look broke, but God alikubali, now I own a home." @Margaret Ngujini said: "Sadness is real. A facade." @Delicious Joy said: "Ndio nimemaliza kuweka choo, and what I can say is that I will never build anything in the rest of my life. Stress was almost killing me." @Dolly Kerubo said: "Mjengo will humble you; it is draining for real." @Mr Lonely said: "Hadi umesema huna kakitu surely." Diana Marua and her husband, Bahati. Diana recently expressed regret over the KSh 45 million Mercedes-Benz G-Wagon Brabus her husband, Bahati, gifted her for their eighth anniversary. She explained that the high-end vehicle rarely gets used and suggested that investing the money in ten Super Metro matatus would have been a wiser financial move capable of generating substantial daily revenue. Following her candid remarks, Bahati defended his decision to spoil his wife with the luxury gift but hinted that he might consider selling the vehicle.
