Nurse seriously injured after husband allegedly stabs her six times

The case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt using a dangerous weapon. – Illustrative picture KOTA BHARU – A 44-year-old nurse was seriously injured after allegedly being stabbed six times by her husband at their home in Kampung Padang Lepai, Kadok, on Oct 6. The woman was reportedly stabbed on her body and neck and is currently receiving treatment at Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital (HRPZ II). Kota Bharu District police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Azmir Damiri said police believed the incident occurred at about 8.30pm before receiving a report on the same night. He said the 47-year-old suspect was subsequently arrested after surrendering himself to police. “The suspect has been remanded for seven days starting Tuesday to assist investigations. Police have yet to identify the motive for the incident,” he said when contacted today. Azmir said police also seized a knife believed to have been used in the incident. He added that the case is being investigated under Section 326 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons.
