Ram Charan is gearing up for the release of his upcoming pan-India film, ‘Peddi’. Although it is said to be a village action drama, the film has been made on a grand scale. As per the latest reports, a major chunk of the film’s budget is reportedly going towards the hefty remuneration of the star cast. According to a report by Gulte, the leading man Ram Charan is charging over Rs 100 crore for ‘Peddi’. Meanwhile, it is also suggested that Buchi Babu Sana, who is only directing his second film after the hit ‘Uppena’ will be taking home over Rs 30 crore. Meanwhile, the remuneration of Janhvi Kapoor, AR Rahman and the other cast members, including other technicians, collectively adds another Rs 35-40 crore to the film’s expenses. On top of that, the makers are also spending heavily on production quality. Since the film comes from the Sukumar school style of filmmaking, spending is said to be on the higher side. Recently, the makers shared a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Mega Star Chiranjeevi visiting the ‘Peddi’ team on the sets. In the video shared by the makers, they can be seen discussing the film and watching some clips on the monitor. They can also be seen indulging in some fun interaction and the ‘Vishwambhara’ star can be seen making a request to Buchi Babu Sana to put a certain scene. ‘Peddi’ is set to be a sports action drama based in a village and largely revolves around two sports, cricket and wrestling. Along with Ram Charan, the film also stars Janhvi Kapoor, Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma and Boman Irani in important roles. The makers confirmed that ‘Peddi’ will release worldwide on June 4, 2026, while premieres are planned for June 3. It will be released in Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.
