Eleven contestants advanced to the peace speech round, representing Thailand, the Netherlands, Venezuela, Tanzania, Mexico, Vietnam, Ecuador, Guatemala, Cuba, Côte d’Ivoire, and Puerto Rico. The field was then narrowed to five finalists from Ecuador, Guatemala, the Netherlands, Vietnam, and Tanzania, who faced a final question about the qualities that define a strong woman. Vietnam’s Emoura Pham likened a strong woman to a bridge that connects and empowers others. Drawing on her project to build 100 bridges in the country's Mekong Delta, she spoke about creating better opportunities for children to attend school and improving the lives of disadvantaged families. “She should be a bridge – one to help other people have more opportunities, to empower other people, and to be able to help other people,” she said. She said a strong woman should care for others, put their needs first, and lead with kindness. Following the final round, Dimack was crowned Miss Grand International 2026, with Ecuador named first runner-up, the Netherlands second runner-up, and Guatemala third runner-up. Vietnam’s Pham rounded out the top five as fourth runner-up. The fifth runner-up titles went to contestants from Thailand, Mexico, Venezuela, Cuba, Côte d’Ivoire, and Puerto Rico. Tanzania’s beauty queen returns to pageantry after a decade For Dimack, the Miss Grand International crown marked a major milestone in a beauty pageant career spanning more than a decade. Born Jihan Mohin Dimachk, she is a professional model who has appeared in numerous advertising campaigns and fashion magazines, having previously worked in administration before pursuing modeling. She was second runner-up at Miss Tanzania 2014 and later won Miss Universe Tanzania 2016, earning the opportunity to represent her country at Miss Universe. After a decade away from major international pageants, she returned to win Miss Grand Tanzania 2026 and entered the international competition as one of the favorites for the crown. Emoura Pham impresses with peace message Emoura Pham, whose Vietnamese name is Pham Chan Phuong, was born in 2000 to a Vietnamese mother and a British father of South African descent. Standing 1.7 meters tall, she had attracted attention throughout the competition with her performances in the talent and national costume rounds. Emoura Pham during the question-and-answer round. Photo: Screenshot She invited the audience to observe three seconds of silence, explaining that what seemed like a brief moment of quiet to them was something millions of people living through war longed to experience. “Pain needs no passports. Tears have no nationality. And the right to live in peace should know no borders,” she said. She concluded her speech by singing an excerpt from Michael Jackson’s 'Heal the World,' drawing attention to her message of peace. Earlier, Pham had reached the top 15 of the Grand Talent competition with a singing and dancing performance set to Sabrina Carpenter’s Espresso. She was also considered a strong contender for the crown, with 14 fellow contestants reportedly selecting her as the likely winner in an internal poll before the final. Photo: Missosology Vietnam adds another top-five finish Emoura Pham’s fourth runner-up title marks another notable result for Vietnam at Miss Grand International, a Thailand-founded beauty pageant launched in 2013. Vietnam first won the crown in 2021 when Nguyen Thuc Thuy Tien made history as the country’s first Miss Grand International winner. In 2023, Le Hoang Phuong also finished fourth runner-up and won Best National Costume when Vietnam hosted the competition. Other Vietnamese representatives, including Nguyen Thi Loan, Nguyen Tran Huyen My, Bui Phuong Nga, Nguyen Ha Kieu Loan, Nguyen Le Ngoc Thao, and Doan Thien An, have previously secured placements. Emoura Pham’s success comes after Vietnam’s representative Nguyen Thi Yen Nhi failed to place at the 2025 edition.
