The stage is almost set for one of the biggest live music events of the summer, with Cardiff preparing to welcome 175,000 people to Blackweir Fields across five nights of concerts. Blackweir Live 2026 gets underway on Wednesday with a sold-out performance from rock legends The Cure, before vocal powerhouse Teddy Swims takes to the stage on Friday. Global superstar Lewis Capaldi will then headline two consecutive nights on Tuesday, June 30 and Wednesday, July 1, before GRAMMY Award-winning rapper Pitbull brings the series to a close on Saturday, July 4. Presented by Cardiff-based Depot Live, the live events arm of music venue DEPOT, alongside UK promoters Cuffe and Taylor, this year’s programme follows the successful launch of Blackweir Live last summer. Final tickets for the remaining shows are available through the Blackweir Live website. Nick Saunders from Depot Live said: “ When we launched Blackweir last year it was big. This year it is huge. We have an incredible line up over five nights and there is barely a ticket left. “Such a massive amount of planning takes place to present concerts of this scale so we are excited to be just making those final touches now ready to throw open the gates on Wednesday and welcome everyone in. “If you’ve not got your tickets yet, don’t miss out and make sure you secure them now. If you are already coming, get your travel plans in place. And above all else, have a brilliant time because Blackweir 2026 is all about making great memories listening and watching some of the best global music talent there is.” What fans need to know Gates for all concerts will open at 5pm, with entertainment scheduled to finish at 10.30pm. Organisers have advised attendees to arrive early, as performance times may be subject to change. There is no on-site parking available at Blackweir Fields. Concertgoers travelling by car can use parking facilities at Sophia Gardens, Cardiff city centre car parks and Civic Centre Event Day Parking. Visitors are being advised to allow extra time for their journeys due to expected congestion and road closures around the venue. Bus services will be diverted while road closures are in place, while rail passengers are encouraged to check travel arrangements before setting off. Mobile tickets only All Blackweir Live tickets are mobile entry only, meaning attendees must download their tickets to their phones before arriving at the venue. Organisers have urged ticket holders to ensure they have the latest version of the Ticketmaster app installed and have viewed their barcode before travelling. Screenshots of tickets will not be accepted for entry. Welfare and accessibility A British Sign Language interpreter will be present at every concert. Medical and welfare facilities will be available on site, while Gig Buddies Cymru will provide a Calm, Safe and Sensory Space for those who may need it. Visitors should also be aware that smoke machines, strobe lighting, fireworks and other special effects may be used during performances. Bag policy and food Bags larger than an A4 sheet of paper will not be permitted into the venue, and all bags will be subject to security searches. Food and drink cannot be brought into the event, although a wide range of food and drink vendors will be available on site. All bars and concessions will operate cashless payment systems. Free water refill stations will also be available. Attendees may bring one sealed bottle of water of up to 500ml and one empty reusable water bottle. Those with medical conditions requiring specific food or drink can bring these items if supported by a doctor’s note. With five major concerts set to attract huge crowds over the coming days, organisers are encouraging fans to plan ahead, download their tickets in advance and allow plenty of time to travel to and from Blackweir Fields.
