The Ministry of Public Administration and Security will conduct a joint special inspection with related agencies on rip-off charges for accommodations ahead of the BTS (BTS) performance in Busan. The inspection, which will be conducted three times on May 29, June 8, and 9, will be joined by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Health and Welfare, the National Tax Service, the Fair Trade Commission, and the National Police Agency. The inspection team checks whether the property implements and complies with the price marking system. In addition, it will conduct a " campaign to eradicate barrage charges" in collaboration with private organizations such as the Korea Accommodation Industry Association to spread voluntary participation and consensus among local merchants and residents. The inspection team will conduct intensive inspections in areas where rip-off charges are likely to occur. If violations are detected, the government plans to cooperate with related ministries to take prompt measures such as sanctions and on-site guidance under related laws. The government receives reports through regional civil service call centers "Region Number +120" and "Tourism Inconvenience Reporting Center" 1330 to quickly cope with inconveniences that tourists may experience, such as cancellation and refund of accommodation reservations. "As the BTS performance is a performance that the world pays attention to, it is important to create an environment where all visitors to Busan can stay without any inconvenience," said Kim Min-jae, vice minister of the Ministry of Public Administration and Security. "We will do our best to further increase Korea's external credibility with this special inspection." Meanwhile, BTS will perform 'BTS World Tour Arirang in Busan' at the Asiad Main Stadium in Busan from June 12-13. However, after the news of the performance broke, controversy arose as it was known that accommodation rates in Busan soared. In response, leader RM said, "There is a lot of news about the accommodation in Busan. "We can't do anything even if we want to solve it," he said, expressing his upset and saying, "Let's take it easy. I'm serious," he said.
