Jeff Pope’s drama mercifully largely blurs out the assault but the aftermath is barely less grim: a sensitively dramatised, step-by-step illustration of why only three out of every 100 rape and sexual assault reports proceed to charges. It’s a tale of suspicious male cops, undermining partners and an unwieldy legal system – which, in the case of Worboys, enabled more attacks.
