TV tonight: the fiery finale of the summer’s hit holiday drama

Two Weeks in August 9pm, BBC One The frantic, funny, holiday-from-hell drama starring the excellent Jessica Raine concludes with another double bill. Nothing about this show has been understated and the finale is no exception. Zoe has disappeared and, just when things couldn’t get any worse, a wildfire threatens the island. Extravagantly silly and extremely good fun. Phil Harrison The Royals: Uncensored 5.05pm, Channel 5 Millions of YouTube views later, journalists Katie Nicholl and Jo Elvin take their monarchy analysis to a wider platform, bringing scoops from the palace to the public. Boasting exclusive gossip that viewers apparently can’t get elsewhere, this royal panel show launches with a drop-in from Piers Morgan. Nicole Vassell Celebrity Bridge of Lies 5.20pm, BBC One “Truth – or lie?!” It’s the question on Ross Kemp’s lips over and over again in this repetitive but harmless daytime quiz. This celebrity special is, at least, in aid of good causes, with Rosie Jones, Harriet Kemsley, Nabil Abdulrashid and Ed Byrne all playing for their chosen charities. Hannah J Davies Alexander Armstrong Across America 8pm, Channel 5 An amiable host ... Alexander Armstrong with Sarah Laurel from Savage Sisters Recovery on Alexander Armstrong Across America. So when Alexander Armstrong arrives in Philly and immediately rushes out to buy a cheese-steak, it’s hard not to fear the worst. Still, as this American odyssey begins, Armstrong is an amiable host, even if sometimes he doesn’t feel like a great match for the material (see his journey into the opioid-related horrors of downtown Kensington). He’s on safer tonal ground with a trip to a rowing club. PH 40 Glastonbury Gems 8.10pm, BBC Two With no festival this year, the BBC has a Glastonbury-shaped hole to fill in its midsummer schedules. This enjoyable clip show revisits some of Worthy Farm’s most memorable moments – so expect Radiohead, Stormzy, Kylie, Pulp, Lizzo, Paul McCartney and dozens more. Photograph: BBC The wholesome but pointed three-part biopic of the Indigenous Australian tennis legend Evonne Goolagong concludes with Evonne (Lila McGuire) facing momentous life events. Her father has died and she’s marrying Roger – will she have to sacrifice her career? A male player, it suggests, wouldn’t face that question.
