Riva Arora shared a distressing incident involving a delivery agent, alleging she was subjected to 30–40 minutes of verbal harassment during an online order. Despite her family’s efforts to intervene, the situation escalated, prompting them to involve the Mumbai Police and file a complaint with the delivery app. The actress recently experienced an upsetting incident related to an online food delivery that turned into harassment. Riva stated that she and her family endured nearly half an hour of inappropriate and disrespectful behaviour. Speaking to Hindustan Times, Riva explained that she placed a Blinkit order on April 26 around 3:30 pm. She described the delivery agent’s conduct. She said, “From the beginning, his tone was rude and inappropriate. When I responded, the situation didn’t improve.” Her mother, Nisha Arora, had to step in to try to calm the situation. Riva added, “But instead of resolving it, the delivery agent continued to behave disrespectfully.” The incident worsened when her sister Muskan Arora encountered the delivery agent in the lift while he was leaving. Riva recounted, “When my sister saw him in the lift, he kept using inappropriate language despite being asked to stop.” She called the behaviour “disrespectful” and “inappropriate,” alleging that the derogatory language was used without any provocation. Despite multiple attempts to ignore the situation, the behaviour persisted. The family followed the delivery agent downstairs and contacted Mumbai Police, who responded quickly and arrived at the scene. Riva said, “They responded very promptly and took immediate action. The matter was handled on the spot, and it is currently being addressed through the proper channels.” She also mentioned that a formal complaint has been lodged with the delivery app, though a clear resolution is still pending. Riva emphasised the need for companies to improve training for their delivery personnel regarding behavioural standards. She concluded, “This incident was definitely upsetting, but I’m focusing on staying positive and moving forward with my routine.” Her recent projects include the 2025 series Power of Paanch, music videos like “Vyah Naio Karna,” and upcoming films, including Cheerleader.
