He shared that the website initially took a zero‐rupee transaction, then charged the full annual amount without permission. This incident highlights the dangers of online subscription schemes, especially ‘free trial’ traps. Ayushmaan, a 22-year-old YouTuber, explained that he approved the zero‐rupee transaction but was later charged for the entire year. The incident has become a cautionary tale for viewers to be cautious with online subscriptions and payment details. Previously, Ayushmaan had faced a similar scam where Rs 80,000 was deducted from his PlayStation account. His family, including his brother Aaryamaan Sethi, reacted sharply upon learning about the fraud.
