A nurse-led aesthetics clinic has been named one of the top 10 beauty salons in the running for the T&A Beauty Salon of the Year 2026. Faces by MSK, on Odsal Road in Wibsey, is owned and operated by advanced nurse practitioner Mehreen Khan, who brings around four years of experience in the aesthetics industry to her business. The clinic offers a range of advanced skin and wellness treatments, including anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers, vitamin IV drips, and HydraFacials. Every treatment is tailored Ms Khan said: "Every treatment is tailored individually, with client safety, confidence and natural-looking results always being the priority." She said her approach is about enhancing natural features rather than making dramatic changes, believing that subtle enhancements can help clients feel more confident without altering their identity. Ms Khan said: "I treat my clients like friends and aim to create a comfortable, welcoming and non-judgemental environment where people can relax and feel completely at ease. "Coming from a medical and nursing background also allows me to bring an additional level of knowledge, professionalism and reassurance to the clinic. "I want every client to feel that they are in safe hands and that their wellbeing will always come before carrying out a treatment." 'I have a fantastic relationship with my clients' She said the relationship she builds with her clients is core to the clinic’s success. Ms Khan said: "I have a fantastic relationship with my clients. "Many of them have been coming to me regularly for years, and a large proportion of my clientele has grown through word-of-mouth recommendations. "I think word of mouth is one of the greatest compliments a small business can receive." The clinic has been open for about a year, though Ms Khan has been practising in aesthetics for around four years while continuing her career in nursing. Ms Khan is passionate about supporting other women who may feel trapped in their lives. She encourages women to focus on themselves and their children, rediscover their interests, and find something positive to channel their energy into. Ms Khan said: "My business started during one of the hardest chapters of my life, but it ultimately became one of the things that helped me rebuild it."
