There are no DART services from Malahide and Howth to Clontarf Road or northern Commuter services from Howth Junction to Connolly Iarnród Éireann has warned commuters to expect major disruption to northside DART, northern commuter and Enterprise rail services this morning. The company said there are no DART services from Malahide and Howth to Clontarf Road, or northern commuter services from Howth Junction to Connolly. Iarnród Éireann's Head of Corporate Communications Barry Kenny said the disruption is due to repair work after overhead lines in the Raheny area were damaged. There will be a bus transfer service from Connolly to Drogheda for Enterprise train services to Belfast. Mr Kenny added that up to 20,000 commuters could be impacted by the disruption. "The damage occurred to the lines in the Raheny area last night at around 8.30pm. "One line was damaged, so we were able to use a single line to get concertgoers from Malahide Castle back into town," Mr Kenny said. "Our crews were not able to commence work until 1.30am and the work is ongoing at the moment," he added. Iarnród Éireann is still trying to determine the cause of the damage and is unable to provide a time when the line would be reopened.
