Cyclists with Project Hero arrive in Rochester for Great Lakes Challenge

(ABC 6 News) — A group of veterans and first responders arrived in Rochester on Tuesday, continuing their journey across Minnesota and Wisconsin. The event is part of the Great Lakes Challenge, a fundraiser for Project Hero, which aids veterans and first responders dealing with PTSD and traumatic brain injuries. John Baker, a ride leader for Project Hero, explained, “It’s a therapy ride for those who have served in conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan, emphasizing the healing power of biking together. The group rode from Red Wing to Rochester on Tuesday and will continue to La Crosse on Wednesday before arriving in Madison on Saturday.
