Following its release, the famed singer and actor got emotional and reflected on the obstacles they faced to get the film approved and released. ‘Satluj’, formerly titled ‘Punjab ‘95’, tells the story of human rights activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. Diljit Dosanjh talks about ‘Satluj’ release Taking to his Instagram account, the actor and singer talked about the release of ‘Satluj’ and paid his respects to activist Jaswant Singh Khalra. He shared a clip from the film itself and wrote an emotional caption, sharing that, “Finally After 4 Years of Fight.. Along with Dosanjh, who plays the lead role, the film also stars Arjun Rampal, Suvinder Vicky, Jagjeet Sandhu and Geetika Vidya Ohlyan. It is based around how Jaswant Singh Khalra was involved in investigating what had happened to around 25,000 people who had been marked as missing during the insurgency era in Punjab. He was on his way to uncover the truth behind the missing persons, their deaths, and the involvement of the judiciary, and he even went public with his information. ‘Satluj’ is currently streaming on Zee5.
