The Green Lantern Corps guards the entire universe, but DC Studios’ next television mystery starts a lot closer to a cornfield than a distant galaxy, with Hal Jordan pulled back down to Earth for it. HBO Max dropped the official Lanterns trailer at San Diego Comic-Con, delivering the clearest look yet at Kyle Chandler as veteran Lantern Hal Jordan and Aaron Pierre as new recruit John Stewart. Rather than shoving the two straight into a war across the stars, the eight-episode drama drops them into the American heartland to work a murder that may carry much larger cosmic weight.
