Hawks nab 5 suspects linked to R600m Limpopo drug bust

Five people have been arrested after a multi-agency operation uncovered a crystal meth manufacturing laboratory on a farm in Musina, Limpopo. The Hawks said drugs, laboratory equipment worth an estimated R600 million and an undisclosed amount of cash were seized following a two-month intelligence-driven investigation. The suspects include two Mexican nationals, two Zimbabwean nationals, and a Malawian national, aged between 20 and 47. Police allege this was an industrial-scale operation for manufacturing illicit substances destined for distribution. The suspects are expected to appear in Musina Magistrates Court on Monday to face charges related to drug manufacture and possession.
