Published Apr 17, 2026, 5:06 PM EDT Jeremy has been a freelance writer and editor since 2014, having contributed to a variety of entertainment websites. He is a self-professed expert on all things pop culture and Bob Saget's biggest fan. Dislikes include onions, heights, and talking about himself in the third person. IO Interactive has just revealed the full intro sequence for 007 First Light , the upcoming video game that serves as an origin story for James Bond . The unveiling of the sequence comes ahead of next month's release of the anticipated game. 007 First Light is set to be released on May 27, 2026, with pre-orders available now. More than a month ahead of the game's debut, the full title sequence can now be watched, showcasing some imagery from the game along with the names of its voice cast. An original new song, "First Light" by Lana Del Ray and David Arnold, is also used for the sequence. Check out the full video below. 007 First Light's Title Sequence Has Been Unveiled “The music of James Bond has always been a huge part of its identity,” Arnold said in a statement addressing the new song. “A title song has to tell us about the world we are about to enter into. It has to intrigue, excite, and beckon us in. This song joins a long line of genre-defining songs, each one creating a benchmark of style that adds to the magnificent heritage that is ‘The Bond Song.’ That’s why I was so excited to work with Lana, an artist who brought elegance, atmosphere, and her totally unique character to this piece, which I hope will open the world of Bond to a whole new audience.” IO Interactive CEO Hakan Abrak added, "It’s a joy to watch two extraordinary talents like Lana Del Rey and David Arnold combine forces, the result feels instantly ‘Bond’ while still bringing a fresh identity for 007 First Light . Bond’s return to gaming is a landmark moment for us at IO Interactive, and having a title song of this quality makes it even more special.” James Bond Earns His License to Kill in 007 First Light Image via IO Interactive Inspired by the original novels by Ian Fleming, the game imagines a new origin story for James Bond, detailing how the agent earns the 007 moniker. The game was first announced by IO Interactive, the team behind the Hitman franchise , back in 2020. It will explore Bond's days as a rookie recruit in MI6, picking up as he gets pulled into a larger conspiracy after an early mission goes wrong. Dexter: Original Sin star Patrick Gibson provides the voice of James Bond in 007 First Light . Lana Del Ray is not the only famous singer attached to the project, as Lenny Kravitz also has a voice role for the game as Bawma, the antagonist. The voice cast also includes Priyanga Burford as M, Alastair Mackenzie as Q, Kiera Lester as Miss Moneypenny, Gemma Chan as Selina Tan, Lennie James as John Greenway, and Noemie Nakai as DGSE agent Charlotte Roth. 007 First Light will be released on May 27, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
