Justin Bieber (Cover Images) Justin Bieber is set to appear at the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show. On Wednesday, officials from the international football organisation and the Global Citizen charity announced that the Canadian superstar will join Madonna, BTS, and Shakira for the spectacle held at New York New Jersey Stadium on 19 July. "The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way nothing else can," praised Justin. "I'm grateful to be part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful knowing it's already helping expand access to education for children around the world." In addition, Burna Boy will join in on the 11-minute broadcast. The Nigerian star collaborated with Shakira on Dai Dai - the official song for this year's football competition. "The FIFA World Cup is one of the few moments that truly brings the entire world together," he exclaimed. "To represent Africa on the first-ever FIFA World Cup Final Halftime Show is a privilege and a responsibility that I don't take lightly. I'm honoured to be part of a performance that not only celebrates football and culture but also helps create greater opportunities for children through education around the world." Coldplay's Chris Martin is "curating" the production, with conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the PS 22 Chorus also participating. The Halftime Show will raise funds for the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund, which will help to "improve access to quality education and football" for children around the world. Accordingly, FIFA President Gianni Infantino promised viewers that the inaugural show will "celebrate football, music and our shared values, ensuring a legacy that transcends the final whistle".
