Kosha will embark on a tour of EU capitals to show support for Ukraine

On August 25, European Council President António Costa will begin a tour of EU capitals to show support for Ukraine. The annual ‘Capital Tour’ will focus on defense, Ukraine’s accession to the EU, and air defense. Costa will gather views from heads of state and government, particularly on the next long-term EU budget. Meetings will take place from August 25 to September 17, including visits to Bratislava, Tallinn, Riga, Vilnius, and Prague. During the first week, Costa will meet with Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, Estonian Prime Minister Krister Mihal, Latvian Prime Minister Andris Kulbergs, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda, and Czech Prime Minister Andrej Babiš. The tour aims to lay the groundwork for future European Council meetings and international summits. Additionally, Costa emphasized discussions on defense, competitiveness, EU enlargement, and support for Ukraine, with special attention to the EU budget.
