Mavericks' Klay Thompson and Megan Thee Stallion reportedly end yearlong relationship

The Mavericks' veteran basketball player Klay Thompson and rapper Megan Thee Stallion reportedly ended their yearlong relationship. Thee Stallion made the decision through her representatives, stating, 'I’ve made the decision to end my relationship with Klay. Trust, fidelity, and respect are non-negotiable for me in a relationship, and when those values are compromised, there’s no real path forward.' She added she is prioritizing herself and moving ahead with peace and clarity. Thompson’s former partner first announced the breakup in an Instagram story, using harsher language. The couple had been together since July 2025, when Thompson publicly confirmed their relationship by posting photos in The Bahamas. At one point, Thompson was heavily invested in the relationship, even naming his boat after Thee Stallion. However, the relationship reportedly ended due to underlying issues. Thompson will enter the final year of his three-year, $50 million contract with the Mavericks, having averaged 11.7 points and 1.4 assists per game in the 2025-26 season, with a 38.3% three-point shooting percentage.
