Metallica has announced the definitive re-release of its quadruple platinum seventh studio album *ReLoad*, scheduled for June 26th via their Blackened Recordings label. The reissue, remastered by Reuben Cohen at Lurssen Mastering with Greg Fidelman overseeing, includes the *ReLoad Remastered Limited Edition Deluxe Box Set*, available for pre-order at [Metallica’s official pre-order link](https://metallica.lnk.to/reloadreissue). This exclusive edition features the remastered album on 180g double vinyl, a 7” single of *The Memory Remains*, and a live performance at Ministry of Sound ’97, alongside 15 CDs of unreleased demos, riffs, live tracks, and B-sides, plus 4 DVDs of behind-the-scenes footage, performances, and memorabilia. The set also includes a pack of Rorschach Test cards, a Gimme Fuel poster, guitar picks, lyric sheets, tour passes, and a 128-page book with rare photos and stories. The release marks the opening of the *#GetTheReLoadOut* fan cover competition, expanding on last year’s *#GetTheLoadOut* initiative with a new category for visual artists. Originally released in 1997, *ReLoad* was Metallica’s third consecutive album to debut at #1 on the Billboard 200, spending nearly 80 weeks on the chart and achieving top 10 status in multiple countries. Recorded during the 1995–1997 sessions at The Plant in Sausalito, CA, the album features expanded creative experimentation, including hurdy-gurdy and violin on *Low Man’s Lyric* and Marianne Faithfull’s vocal on *The Memory Remains*. Like its predecessor, *ReLoad* has grown in cultural significance, with tracks like *Fuel* and *The Memory Remains* remaining staples of the band’s ongoing M72 World Tour.
