Nepal Competes Against Oman in ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2

Kathmandu. Nepal, playing its final series in the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2, will compete against the home team Oman on Tuesday. The match will start at 11:15 AM Nepali time at the Al Amerat Cricket Ground in Oman. Nepal has decided to bat first after winning the toss. This match is very important for Nepal, which has entered the field with the goal of retaining its One Day International (ODI) status. After defeating Canada by 24 runs on Sunday, Nepal's chances of retaining ODI status by staying in the top six remain. However, a single win is not enough to secure Nepal's position. Nepal will have to perform well in the remaining matches. The next competition against Canada and the matches against Oman will determine where Nepal's League 2 journey ends. Eight teams are participating in League 2. America, Scotland, and Netherlands have secured their place in the 2027 World Cup qualifiers by staying in the top three. Oman and Namibia are also above Nepal. Since the teams that finish in the top six will retain their ODI status, the competition between Nepal and Canada has become decisive. Under League 2, Nepal is scheduled to play Canada again on Saturday, October 17, and Oman on Monday, October 19.
