The MoU signed in the presence of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi and HCLTech Chairperson Roshni Nadar Malhotra says the project is intended to provide secure, scalable and inclusive digital infrastructure for government, research institutions, startups and enterprises. “The initiative is expected to place Odisha as the leading sovereign AI hub while strengthening India’s position in the AI ecosystem. With this investment, HCLTech marks its foray in Odisha, with its first-ever investment for an AI Data Centre in the country,” says a statement issued on the occasion. “Apart from this investment, HCLTech will also establish an AI and digital engineering global delivery centre across two phases in Bhubaneswar. We are pleased to start this endeavor in partnership with Odisha government and Sarvam,” said Ms. Malhotra.
