TRIATHLON – Bahrain Victorious 13 superstar Georgia Taylor-Brown from Britain secured third place at the T100 Vancouver professional race. The multiple-Olympic medallist and world champion, fresh from a training camp in Victoria, competed in the first women-only T100 race at Locarno Beach. Emerging in eighth place after the swim, she improved to seventh before the bike-to-run transition. Taylor-Brown then produced one of the strongest runs of the day, overtaking competitors to finish third behind Switzerland’s Julie Derron and fellow Briton Kate Waugh. Her overall time was 3 hours 36 minutes 27 seconds, with swim-bike-run splits of 24:42, 2:03:18, and 1:06:08. This result followed her breakthrough victory in the T100 race in Spain in May, showcasing her growing strength in the 100km distance. Post-race, Taylor-Brown expressed satisfaction with her performance, highlighting the run as the best part but noting areas for improvement. Next, Bahrain Victorious 13 athletes will compete in the WTCS event in Weihai, China, on August 29.
