BANGKOK – Thailand is willing to work with China to deepen strategic coordination and mutual trust, and strengthen exchanges and cooperation between the two militaries across various fields, Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul said when meeting with visiting Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun on Friday. Thailand firmly adheres to the one-China policy and will not change its stance due to external pressure and interference, Anutin said. He also extended gratitude to the Chinese side for its positive and constructive role in mediating the conflict between Thailand and Cambodia. Hailing the time-honored friendship and cooperation between the two peoples, Dong said China has always regarded Thailand as a reliable partner for maintaining regional prosperity and stability. China is willing to work with Thailand to pursue high-level cooperation built on solid mutual trust, featuring in-depth cooperation and growing strategic rapport, Dong added.
