Pole Position: Lana Del Rey’s Singapore Grand Prix Setlist -

Off to the Races. The Singapore Grand Prix is a weekend built around engines. So naturally, Lana del Rey closed it with a porch swing. On Sunday night, Lana took over The Padang Stage for a 75-minute set, her first full concert in Singapore and her first show in nearly a year. Consider this the slowest, dreamiest lap of the weekend. The stage was built as an American South-style house, complete with a porch, fairy lights, candelabras and working swings. She had dancers, a live band and a giant full moon projected behind her. She started in a white dress and later switched to a red gown. Front-row fans help up vinyl copies of her albums in the crowd. Early in the set, with a live debut of ‘White Feather Hawk Tail Deer Hunter’ , she was joined by a special guest: a stove. It’s a nod to her forthcoming album, Stove, which still has no release date. So that puts the appliance ahead of the record for now. Born to Die gets the biggest share, with five songs (‘Video Games’, ‘Ride’, ‘Blue Jeans’, ‘Born to Die’ and ‘Summertime Sadness’). Ultraviolence follows with two, and the title tracks of Norman F***ing Rockwell! , Chemtrails Over the Country Club and Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd each make an appearance too. It’s also worth noting that she reportedly shared two records are currently nearly finished.
