A WREXHAM beauty business which will celebrate 10 years next year, has been named among the finalists in The Leader’s Best Beauty Salon 2026 competition. Pretty Green Eyes Makeup & Beauty, run by Heidi Anderson, is based inside Salon LA on Pen y Bryn Hill and is one of the final 10 businesses in the running. Heidi established Pretty Green Eyes in February 2016, having first qualified as a beauty therapist in 2004. She later took the next step with the business by opening her first salon in December 2018. In 2024, Pretty Green Eyes moved into Salon LA, which is owned by Lynsey Austin, where Heidi now works alongside a wider team of hairdressers and beauty professionals. She said: “I’m really proud of where the business has come from and where it is today. “Being based inside Salon LA means I’m part of a great team of hairdressers and other beauty technicians, and I love being surrounded by other people who are passionate about what they do.” Pretty Green Eyes named Wrexham beauty salon finalist (Image: supplied) Pretty Green Eyes offers a range of beauty treatments including nails, waxing, brows, lashes and make-up, as well as bridal make-up services. The business has also built up a large number of repeat clients over the years, with its Fresha profile carrying a five-star rating from hundreds of reviews. For Heidi, those long-standing relationships are one of the most important parts of the business. She said: “I genuinely love every part of my job because, to me, it doesn’t feel like a job. “I get to spend my days with clients who, over the years, have become friends. “The relationships I have built with my clients are one of the things I treasure most about my business.” Read more Disqualified driver jailed after using brother's details in attempt to deceive police Around 50 tonnes of hay involved in Flintshire barn fire as cause remains unknown Group who brought drugs into Flintshire and Wrexham to return to court next month Heidi is also joined by Elana Griffiths, who is continuing to develop her skills in the beauty industry. Heidi said: “I’m really proud of the progress she is making and I believe she will become a very successful beautician herself.” The latest finalist place comes as Pretty Green Eyes approaches a decade in business. Heidi said being recognised by Leader readers made the achievement particularly meaningful. She said: “Being named as one of the Top 10 finalists in The Leader’s Best Beauty Salon competition is such an honour and something I’m incredibly grateful for.
