His manager, Shashi Sinha, had earlier clarified that the incident occurred when the actor’s licensed revolver slipped from his hand while he was placing it inside a cupboard, causing it to discharge and injure his leg. Sunita’s remarks didn’t end there. In another moment from the show, when Krushna picked a Nia Sharma instead of Kashmera, she quipped, “It’s their habit, that’s why they deserve to be shot. Here, I didn’t even shoot, yet I don’t know how it happened.” The comment, though delivered in a humorous setting, has further fuelled ongoing speculation about trouble in her marriage.
