Suresh Oberoi recalls going door to door to help son Vivek land debut

Vivek Oberoi made a memorable debut with *Company*, but landing his first Bollywood opportunity was challenging. His father, veteran actor Suresh Oberoi, recalled his own struggles to secure work for Vivek, mirroring his own early career. Suresh described going door-to-door to find opportunities for Vivek, much like he had done for himself. He shared that he was working with filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma when the latter was casting for *Company*. Varma asked to see a recording of Vivek’s acting from his institute, and after viewing it, was impressed. This led to Vivek’s casting in *Company*, a pivotal moment in his career. Suresh also mentioned that Vivek’s performance in *Company* made him emotional, even shedding tears. Vivek has since appeared in films like *Saathiya*, *Indian Police Force*, *Mastiii 4*, and upcoming projects such as *Ramayana*, *Grey*, and other roles. His father highlighted that *Saathiya* remains his son’s favorite film.
