The bride reportedly paid more than 200 million won to New York City for the private wedding of pop star Taylor Swift and NFL player Travis Kelsey. New York Mayor Zoran Mamdani said at a press conference on the 10th (local time), "Swift paid more than $160,000 (240 million won) for the event and its response," and "The permit was confirmed a few days before the event." Their wedding was held at Madison Square Garden in the middle of New York on the 3rd. In addition to the wedding, nearby roads were closed for nearly three days due to rehearsal dinners the day before and parties that continued until the dawn of the next day. Hundreds of police were deployed to maintain order at the scene. The money paid to New York City is likely to be only a fraction of the total cost of the wedding. Forbes estimated that the cost of the wedding would be $20 million (about 30 billion won), and US entertainment media Page Six quoted experts' opinions and estimated that it would have cost $30 million (about 45 billion won). Esther Lee of wedding company The Not Worldwide explained to Page Six, "It would have cost at least $5 million for decorations and flowers alone, and the total cost would range from $20 million to $30 million." Since the wedding was strictly private, details are being confirmed only through a partial increase in guests.
