The Tour de France Grand Départ Trophy is on display in Sheffield ahead of the 2027 women's race. Sheffield will serve as the finish point for the second stage of the Tour de France Femmes event on 31 July. The women's Grand Départ begins in Leeds the day before, ending in Manchester, with racers then traveling across the Pennines to Sheffield on day two. The 96-mile route from Manchester will pass through the Peak District before crossing the finish line at Attercliffe Common. The trophy will be shown at Hollister Link Bridge at the shopping centre from 10:00 BST on 25 August. Sheffield councillor Ben Miskell highlighted that the event is a 'fantastic opportunity for our city,' noting that major sporting events attract visitors, showcase Sheffield globally, and create economic opportunities for local businesses and hospitality venues.
