WATCH: Fitzy and Lola ‘officially locked off’ as fans have their say

Sean Fitzgerald is ‘officially locked off’ with Lola Deal following Tuesday’s episode of Love Island. The Galway GAA star entered the villa among the original line-up for the new series of the reality dating show, which kicked off two weeks ago. Kent detective Lola was also among the starting line-up, with the pair coupling up from the day one. The pair have been going from strength to strength in the villa, with Tuesday seeing Sean, who goes by the nickname Fitzy, closing in on the deal. Speaking to Lola in the terrace, he said: ‘When you spend 24 hours a day with someone, I think you do get to know someone a lot more. I have said coming in, “I want someone who’s tapped, weird, and surprisingly, someone who is funny.” ‘You get my humour but you actually make me laugh too which is kind of rare, and I do think as well the trust thing.’ Fitzy went on to give Lola an excerpt of the speech he would say if there was a recoupling. ‘One of the things I’d be saying is: “I’ve never met a girl, ever, who has made me trust so quickly. I don’t see anyone turning my head and I do think we really do trust each other,”‘ he shared, “And it’s going in a very good direction.”; ‘In a very good direction,’ the detective echoed, adding: ‘That was very good.’ ‘So you agree with everything I said,’ Fitzy wondered, with Lola confirming: ‘Yeah, I agree with everything you just said.’ ‘And you’re on the same page? And four children? By 32?’ Speaking after, Fitzy admitted he was both ‘surprised and not surprised’ with how well himself and Lola were getting on. He said: ‘When you know, you know and I suppose, it’s just going really well and I’m excited.’ ‘Does that mean we’re still open or not?’ Lola then questions, with Sean slightly aghast at the question. ‘Does that mean you’re saying we’re not?’ Lola reiterated, with Fitzy confirming: ‘Yeah.’ ‘Okay, cool, yeah, that’s sweet because I don’t want to be,’ Lola responds before planting a kiss on Sean’s lips. Fans were delighted, with many taking to the comments lauding Fitzy’s sweet words. One said: ‘LISTEN sometimes it’s just that easy as you find your person (hopefully this comment will age well).’ Another added: ‘Sean and Lola should pick a wedding date already... we will come.’ A third noted: ‘The earliest lock down ever!!!’
