Xdinary Heroes Releases First New Album as 5-Member Band: "Brilliant Yet Shaking Youth"

▲ Xdinary Heroes The band Xdinary Heroes, reorganized as a five-member group following a member's departure, is releasing their ninth mini-album, "IMPULSE," today. This album is their first release since the team was reorganized into a five-member group following the departure of drummer Gun-il last August. Through their agency (JYP Entertainment), Xdinary Heroes introduced the album, saying, "We wanted to express the diverse emotions that people possess through music using 'desire' as the keyword. We wanted to convey the message that no matter what emotion comes, whether positive or negative, we hope people will accept it as it is and not deny their own hearts." "IMPULSE" features a total of seven tracks, including the title song "Obsessed with Youth," as well as "Give Up The Ghost," "Slashhh!," "u and me in arguments," and "You Right There." The agency stated that "Obsessed with Youth" takes youth and longing as its themes, depicting the overwhelming feelings, instability, and fleeting brilliant moments of youth. The members explained, "Right now, we are also youths wavering between contradictory emotions just like the title track, so we were able to work on it with deep immersion. As it contains a more refreshing and bright mood than our previous work, we focused on naturally bringing out the energy of each member's performance and vocals." They added, "Rather than a perfectly polished appearance, it felt like revealing the emotions that can only be experienced during this period, even if slightly clumsy, was the best way to express them authentically." Xdinary Heroes debuted in December 2021 as an "idol rock band" and has been active on various domestic and international stages, including Lollapalooza Chicago in the United States, opening for the British band Muse's concert in Korea, and the Busan International Rock Festival.
