Angel Reese breaks two WNBA rebounding records in Atlanta’s victory over Sparks

Angel Reese broke the WNBA single-game rebounding record with 26 rebounds and also set a new season record with 458 rebounds for the Atlanta Dream, surpassing Chamique Holdsclaw’s previous record of 24 rebounds. The Dream won 78-71 against the Sparks. Reese also secured her 27th double-double of the season. Teammate Allisha Gray praised Reese’s talent, noting her outstanding rebounding ability. Atlanta finished the game with 11 points from Reese and 20 points from Gray, who set an Atlanta record for field goals in a season with 247. Rhyne Howard added 18 points, reaching 3,000 for her career. The Sparks had 27 points and 16 rebounds from Nneka Ogwumike. The Dream have won four straight games, including nine straight wins against the Sparks. Atlanta (25-13) is still in the regular season with six games remaining.
