Angel Reese broke the WNBA single-game rebounding record with 26 and the season record for rebounds (458) as the Atlanta Dream defeated the Los Angeles Sparks 78-71. Reese surpassed Chamique Holdsclaw’s 24-rebound record from 2003. The Dream star secured her 27th double-double of the season with 11 points. Atlanta still has six games left in the regular season. Teammate Allisha Gray praised Reese’s talent, noting her dominance in rebounding. Gray led the team with 20 points, while Rhyne Howard added 18 points to reach 3,000 career points. Atlanta’s season field-goal record was set by Gray with 247. Los Angeles’ Nneka Ogwumike had 27 points and 16 rebounds. The Dream won four straight games, all on the road, while Los Angeles lost nine straight in the series. The Dream trailed 37-36 at halftime but recovered with a 9-2 run in both the third and fourth quarters. Up next: Atlanta hosts Portland on Friday; Sparks host Washington on Friday.
