Biking Benedict Cumberbatch has heated, 10-minute ‘road rage’ fight with cyclist

Benedict Cumberbatch found himself in the middle of a heated verbal altercation with a fellow cyclist after allegedly running a red light. The “Doctor Strange” star was seen in a video abandoning his bike and walking over to the angry cyclist while in London last week. “You’re deluded, you’re lying,” the unknown male biker told the actor. “I was behind you the entire time.” Benedict Cumberbatch got into a heated verbal altercation with a fellow cyclist after allegedly running a red light last week. The actor was riding in London when he got off his bike to confront the man. Cumberbatch responded by accusing the man of “verbally” abusing him. “Oh no, I verbally abused the guy who completely repeatedly broke the law,” the man sarcastically responded before Cumberbatch admitted, “I did it once.” The man then accused the “Sherlock” star of running two other red lights, which he denied. The man accused the “Doctor Strange” star of running a red light. “You’re deluded, you’re lying,” the unnamed cyclist said. The fight lasted about 10 minutes before the man left, and Cumberbatch took some time to pose with young fans. The onelooker who recorded the altercation said, “It was crazy. It was such a pompous road rage it almost felt like it had been staged.” “Benedict still managed to charm everyone watching even though he was having a meltdown,” the eyewitness added. “They went at each other about five times.” “I was behind you the entire time,” the man added. Cumberbatch accused the man of verbally abusing him. According to the man, Cumberbatch and the other cyclist “blocked the lane so no one else could get through.” The eyewitness stated that the heated cyclist had followed the “Imitation Game” star until the latter pulled over. “The masked guy was obviously some kind of vigilante — he was really taken aback when he saw it was Benedict Cumberbatch, but he doubled down on his rage,” the man said. According to the onlooker recording the video, the duo “blocked the lane so no one else could get through.” The fight lasted for 10 minutes. “I don’t condone dangerous driving, but for this guy to follow him and cause an incident like this was worse than Benedict slowly cutting that light,” the eyewitness said. The man added that school kids were passing by “awestruck,” and Cumberbatch politely told them to wait for photos. A rep for the “Star Trek Into Darkness” actor wasn’t immediately available to Page Six for comment.
