Connor Storrie Introduces Olivia Rodrigo as She Debuts New Song From Upcoming Album on SNL

Connor Storrie introduced Olivia Rodrigo for her second performance on Saturday Night Live, where she debuted a new, unreleased song titled ‘begged’ from her upcoming album, which features her upside-down on a swing. The album, titled ‘you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love,’ is set for release June 12. The song is a subdued, melancholic ballad centered on longing and uncertainty. Rodrigo sang, ‘All that I want is to know undoubtedly that you just have eyes for me,’ and later, ‘I feel trapped inside my life.’ She recorded the album with longtime collaborator Dan Nigro, who also worked with her on ‘Sour’ and ‘Guts.’ Earlier in the night, Rodrigo also hosted the show, revisiting her Disney Channel beginnings on ‘Bizaardvark’ and performing a musical parody of her hit ‘drivers license.’ Rodrigo has been busy recently, joining Addison Rae at Coachella and playing a one-night-only show at The Echo in Los Angeles. She first broke out in 2021 with ‘Sour,’ followed by 2023’s ‘Guts,’ earning three Grammy Awards and an Album of the Year nomination for both albums.
