The Isle of Man's Mountain Road will close for several evenings for maintenance works ahead of the Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix. The A18 will shut between Ramsey and the Creg Ny Baa between 18:30 BST and 22:30 on 6, 7, 10 and 12 August for verge cutting. The Department of Infrastructure had originally announced plans to carry out the work between 10 and 14 August. Daytime closures on a section of the A3 are also set to be in place on 3 and 4 August for hedge and verge cutting. The closure will be in place between Ballig Bridge and Cronk-y-Voddey between 09:30 and 15:30 on both days. Sections of both roads will close between 8 and 15 August for further filming of a new feature about the Isle of Man TT. The precise times have not yet been finalised. The Classic TT and Manx Grand Prix will take place between 16 and 28 August.
