His arrival deepens Gibson Dunn’s M&A bench in the region. Megren Al-Shaalan, Partner in Charge of the Riyadh office, noted Rasrommani’s reputation as one of the most respected corporate lawyers in Saudi Arabia, highlighting his market knowledge, client relationships, and track record in high-profile matters aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030. Rasrommani’s insights into investment flows and leadership experience make him an outstanding addition to Gibson Dunn’s partnership. He expressed enthusiasm for joining the firm, citing its global corporate and private capital platform, energy and infrastructure track record, and long-term commitment to Saudi Arabia. Gibson Dunn opened its Riyadh office in 2023 and expanded its regional presence with the hiring of Najla Al-Gadi, a capital markets partner, last year. The firm has also relocated to Tadawul Tower in the King Abdullah Financial District. About Waleed Rasrommani: He has advised regional and international clients on large-scale public and private transactions, including cross-border M&A, joint ventures, strategic investments, and privatizations. Previously, he served as the national managing partner in Saudi Arabia for another international law firm, where he led its establishment in the Kingdom. Before practicing law, Rasrommani worked as a programmer in Silicon Valley, a banker, and a journalist in the Middle East.
