Jimin, 2.5 Billion Streams for 'Who' ... Spotify's Own Record High

Jimin of BTS has reached the 2.5 billion streaming mark. According to Spotify's latest count (as of July 30), Jimin surpassed 2.5 billion cumulative streams with "Who," the title track from his solo second album "MUSE." This is the first time one of Jimin's solo songs has exceeded 2.5 billion streams on Spotify. Another popular track, "Like Crazy," has been played 1.4 billion times. "Who" is a hip-hop R&B genre song. It is characterized by an intense beat in the introduction. The lyrics convey a tender emotion of longing for someone never met. The viewing point is the combination of Jimin's characteristic enchanting choreography and dynamic group dance. It added visual enjoyment to the listening experience, complemented by acoustic guitar performance. The song swept various charts. After reaching number 12 on the U.S. Billboard "Hot 100," it charted for 33 weeks. It surpassed PSY's "Gangnam Style" record (31 weeks). "Global 200" and "Global (excluding U.S.)" held the number one position for two weeks. They charted for 74 weeks and 89 weeks, respectively. On the UK Official Singles "Top 100," it reached number 4. That's not all. "Who" was counted as the most-streamed K-pop song on Spotify's "2025 Wrapped Year-End Summary." It was also the most-listened song in South Korea. Jimin received a trophy for the song. He won "K-pop Song of the Year" at the U.S. iHeartRadio's "2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards." Meanwhile, BTS, to which Jimin belongs, is experiencing a long run on global charts with its regular fifth album "Arirang." The album reached number 48 on the UK Official Albums "Top 100."
