Mirchi • Updated on Apr 20, 2026 | 11:07 AM IST Share via While global fame has firmly established Kim Taehyung as a music powerhouse, the artist is now looking to expand his creative horizons. The singer recently spoke about his growing inclination towards acting and the kind of challenges he hopes to take on in the space. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Taehyung shared that acting offers him a chance to experience lives far removed from his own. “When I’m acting, part of the point is to try a bunch of different parts that I can’t experience in reality," he said. The statement also reflects how he approaches music, with a clear intent to avoid being limited to a single artistic identity. This is what BTS V’s ₹90 crore home looks like from the inside BTS V's acting career Kim Taehyung ’s acting journey began with the period drama Hwarang : The Poet Warrior Youth, marking his first on-screen role. Although he did not immediately pursue acting further, his recent projects suggest a renewed interest in storytelling through performance. Among these was the short film That Night, Our Decaffeinated, in which he appeared alongside Park Ji-Min. The film leaned into a soft, nostalgic narrative, following two individuals who reconnect after years apart, capturing lingering emotions and unresolved memories. He also featured in IU’s music video Love Wins All, which presented a stark, dystopian setting. Playing one half of a struggling couple, Taehyung delivered a performance that struck an emotional chord, adding depth to a story defined by survival and loss. Meanwhile, BTS recently reunited for a special live concert titled BTS The Comeback, which took place at Gwanghwamun Plaza in Seoul on March 21, 2026. The concert was also live-streamed on Netflix, drawing in several million BTS fans. Listen to millions of songs and podcasts with the music app on Android or download the Gaana app on iOS.
